The crowd of Edith Piaf

The song “La Foule” by Edith Piaf, released in 1957 is actually a cover !

Indeed, it is a French adaptation of "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir", a Peruvian waltz of Argentine origin and composed in 1936 by Ángel Cabral on lyrics by Enrique Dizeo. Edith Piaf heard this song while touring Argentina and then decided to cover it in France.

With the success that Edith Piaf had with “La Foule”, the original version was then modernized under the Spanish title Amor de mis amores.
