In 1996, Disney bought the island of Gorda Cay in the Bahamas to make it a home port for its cruise ships and then renamed it Castaway Cay.
Castaway Cay is therefore a private island in the Bahamas of 405 ha which then allows the liners of the Disney Cruise Line, the cruise company of Walt Disney Company, to dock in a paradisiacal environment for the benefit of their customers !
